Editorial Policy
Last updated: June 2026
1. Sourcing
M4SNews publishes engineering and manufacturing news sourced from:
- Original reporting — commissioned articles written by M4SNews staff or contributors.
- Press releases — submitted directly by companies and organisations. These are clearly labeled as Press Release or Sponsored.
- RSS feeds and public sources — industry publications, trade associations, and company announcements. Where content is derived from third-party sources, we rewrite in our own editorial voice and provide clear attribution and a link to the original.
2. Paid Content
Articles that are paid for by a company or organisation are always labeled as Sponsored or Paid Placement. This includes:
- News articles written from company press releases (£195)
- Supplier directory listings (£29–£500/year)
- Event enhancements (£100–£250)
- Banner advertisements
Paid content does not influence our independent editorial coverage. Sponsored articles are reviewed for factual accuracy but the editorial angle is determined by the sponsor.
3. Attribution
Where we reference or derive information from third-party publications, we always:
- Name the original source
- Provide a link to the original article where possible
- Rewrite content in the M4SNews editorial voice rather than reproducing verbatim
4. Corrections
If we publish an error, we will correct it promptly and note the correction at the bottom of the article. To report an error, email team@m4snews.net.
5. Press Release Submissions
Companies can submit press releases for editorial consideration or paid placement. All submissions are reviewed for relevance to our engineering and manufacturing audience. Submit via team@m4snews.net or use our online submission form.
