Mark Laesch, Sr. Operations Process Manager at Baker Industries to Speak at Additive Manufacturing Conference 2022

Mark Laesch, Senior Operations Process Manager, Baker Industries, will be a keynote speaker at Additive Manufacturing Conference 2022. Laesch, a key player in the implementation and advancement of cutting-edge technologies within the company, will discuss how Baker Industries is using proprietary wire-arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) technology developed as part of the Lincoln Electric family to produce large-scale metal parts faster, cheaper, and at a higher quality than traditional manufacturing processes.

Laesch joins a lineup of dozens of other additive manufacturing experts presenting at this year's conference, which takes place September 14 - 15, and is co-located with the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. AMC is unique in that it focuses on additive manufacturing for production manufacturing, not just prototyping, which Laesch has helped apply to products in a number of industries.

"Our technology offers a strong metal additive manufacturing solution for applications where others were previously limited or not a fit at all," says Laesch. "I'm looking forward to educating attendees on the future of large-scale metal additive manufacturing and showcasing the innovative work that Baker Industries and Lincoln Electric have been doing to advance this technology and the industry."

In addition to presenting, Baker Industries will have a booth set up in the Additive Manufacturing Pavilion of IMTS, where attendees can see and feel demo parts, ask questions, and meet with Laesch and other experts from the team.

“Additive manufacturing is taking huge, transformative leaps,” says Pete Zelinski, Program Director of Additive Manufacturing Conference. “IMTS has become a major showcase for how 3D printing technology is changing the landscape of manufacturing. Bringing the conference back here allows us to explore the connection between established manufacturing technologies and the promise that additive brings.”

Registration for Additive Manufacturing Conference 2022 is now open. Those interested in attending can save 20% on registration with code BAKVIP, compliments of Baker Industries.
