NEW CEO TAKES THE HELM AT MAKINO Inc.
Makino Inc., the America’s division of Makino Milling Machine Co., has announced Peter Hoecklin has joined the company as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Hoecklin succeeds retiring CEO Don Lane, who led Makino for more than 23 years.
“Peter’s extensive experience leading companies in the United States, China, Germany and the United Kingdom will be invaluable to Makino as the company continues to provide innovative solutions and grow globally,” Shinichi Inoue, Chairman/President of Makino Milling Machine Co Ltd said. “We are pleased to see him taking the baton and running with it.” “I am honored and excited to join Makino,” Peter Hoecklin said. “The company’s commitment to customers, cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and reputation for quality and reliability is evident to me in our people and depth of application knowledge.
It is an exciting time for Makino as we continue to build on our strengths, particularly in providing machining and turnkey solutions for the most demanding applications,” continued Hoecklin. “I also want to pay tribute to Don Lane who has been a leading figure, not only at Makino, but also in the American machine tool industry over the past four decades.”
Hoecklin joins Makino after 18 years with TRUMPF, a leading manufacturer of machine tools and laser technology. At TRUMPF, he most recently served as CEO of North America where his focus was on building a strong service organization and establishing the company’s first Smart Factory. He previously served as TRUMPF China CEO and Director of Purchasing in Germany. Hoecklin has also worked as a consultant for McKinsey + Co, and for Emerson Electric in a variety of functions in the U.S. and Europe.
