Industry mobilizes at Global Industrie Lyon 2023
From the 7th to the 10th of March 2023 at Eurexpo Lyon (France)
France’s biggest showcase for industrial innovation, Global Industrie will once again bring together all sectors of industry. Directly impacted by the current international situation, French companies and production chains will find solutions and know-how there to help them meet the challenges of the multiple transitions currently underway, whether they be environmental, energy-related, societal, job-related or linked to reshoring.
Solutions to assist in transitions
Global Industrie 2023 will be the big event for concrete solutions to meet the current challenges facing manufacturers.
The offer presented by the 2,500 exhibitors (solution providers, service providers, subcontractors, manufacturers and distributors, etc.), divided into 15 zones, and the innovations rewarded by the GI Awards, will serve as so many technical levers enabling them to improve their productivity and meet their energy and environmental challenges.
“Global Industrie wants to enable manufacturers to capitalize on the big issues of the moment, by offering them technological pathways and avenues for reflection, and to help French industry to emerge stronger” Sébastien Gillet, Director of Global Industrie
Promoting industrial know-how and jobs
French industry is indeed a breeding ground for jobs, many of which remain unfilled. Since its creation, Global Industrie has been supporting companies looking for new talent by implementing several complementary tools.
Dedicated to training, employment and professions, the GI Avenir space is an essential element of Global Industrie. School students, job seekers and people undergoing professional retraining can obtain information there about the different professions in industry, the sectors that are recruiting and the jobs of the future.
To present their job offers, companies’ HR departments will benefit from an online recruitment platform, job dating sessions, etc.
Golden Tech, the second edition of the industrial excellence competition
Promotion of jobs in industry will also be at the heart of the Golden Tech industrial competition. For four days, this non-stop show celebrates the men and women who embody industry today in different professions (see inset). This will be an opportunity for them to demonstrate their know-how, challenge themselves and fly the flag for their company.
All professionals can register online and be part of the selection process. The partners will consider each candidate’s knowledge and motivations and choose a maximum of 11 contestants per profession.
For 2023, the Golden Tech competition has chosen the theme of the “hydrogen-powered car”. The test subjects, devised in collaboration with professional partners and revealed one hour before the test, will concern the design, storage or distribution of these vehicles.
The contestants will then have two hours to answer the test as well as they can before being evaluated by a jury of experts. The results (gold, silver and bronze medals) will be announced on Friday the 10th of March 2023. The winner in each category will receive a cheque for 1000 euros.
In line with the automotive theme of the competition, the Golden Tech area will present some exceptional concept cars, such as the Hydrogen prototype for the 24 Hours of Le Mans motor race. Information and registrations: www.goldentech.fr
Monitoring and forward planning
Global Industrie is also a place of convergence for new ideas and forward planning aimed at meeting the various challenges faced by industry. In 2023, the conferences will address issues related to transitions, in the form of insights on existing solutions and feedback.
In addition, Global Industrie will conduct numerous interviews in the exhibition’s TV studio and broadcast them on the GI Channels digital channels.
On the economic or institutional representatives’ stands, companies will be able to obtain information on the financing or aid mechanisms set up by the State or local authorities for reshoring, job creation, the green transition, etc.
