Davi's all-electric MCE e-POWER plate roller doubles positioning

  • precision to 0.05 vs. 0.1 typical, while eliminating hydraulics
  • entirely—meaning no leaks, no fluid maintenance, and simultaneous
  • multi-axis movement. For manufacturers running high-tolerance
  • metalwork, this is a genuine floor-space and uptime win.
  • Precision: 0.05 positioning accuracy (2× better than standard 0.1)
  • All-electric architecture replaces hydraulics—no fluid, no leaks, no
  • Simultaneous multi-axis movement and concurrent task execution, not
  • Smaller footprint saves production floor space; compact design eases

Davi to Spotlight Extensive Portfolio of Plate and Angle Rolling Technology at FABTECH 2025

Davi, Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of advanced plate and angle rolling machines and automated metalworking production systems, will showcase its broad range of advanced, labor-saving plate and angle rolls at FABTECH 2025 in booth A4314, McCormick Place, Chicago. Among those innovative systems, the company will demonstrate its transformative all-electric MCE e-POWER plate rolling machine.

The MCE e-POWER machine provides manufacturers in high-tolerance processes positioning accuracy of five hundredths, compared to the typical one-tenth precision normally offered. Because there is no hydraulic fluid to push through the system, the MCE e-POWER provides simultaneous movements across multiple axes and executes multiple tasks concurrently.

With its innovative design, MCE e-POWER also minimizes the need for human intervention and eliminates points of leakage commonly found in traditional machines, which translates into improved reliability and increased uptime. The absence of hydraulic control units significantly contributes to MCE e-POWER’s small footprint and makes it more space-efficient to conserve valuable production floor space. The compact design of MCE e-POWER also makes for easy integration into various production settings.

Visitors to Davi’s booth will also experience the company’s new iVision laser radius measuring system for its MCE e-POWER all-electric machines that brings artificial intelligence (AI) to the plate rolling process, making it significantly simpler and giving shops the ability to run machines unmanned. With the combination of a laser blade measuring system, AI and a specific algorithm, iVision encompasses reading/measuring and self-correction through the MCE e-POWER’s CNC to automatically adjust in real time. This streamlines the rolling process and ensures the most accurate results in the shortest amount of time possible.

In addition to the benefits of MCE e-POWER, the Davi technical team will highlight the company’s complete portfolio of angle and plate rolling machines, including the MCP 11 angle roll that has become a top choice for master benders. The MCP series machines, offered in small and larger heavy-duty models, feature three powered rolls, each of which has its own dedicated, synchronized hydraulic motor to facilitate section feeding and provide high torque. The two side rolls on the machines move against a fixed top roll, and Davi’s patented planetary guide technology actuates the side rolls to provide the necessary bending force while maintaining close tolerances in tight diameters.

Davi will also display its MCA 2017 4-roll and MCB E30 4-roll plate rolling machines that are for thinner materials and medium to heavy-duty plates, respectively. They provide perfect control over plate position by clamping it with a bottom roll, and Davi’s patented Servo-TronicÓ parallelism control system always keeps machine rolls in perfect alignment. The Davi MCA and MCB 4-roll machines are fully CNC control enabled for automated production with limited operator input required during the bending process.

For heavy-duty applications, visitors can learn about Davi’s MAV 30-80 3-roll variable axis plate rolling machine with tilting rolls for precise cone bending and maximum flexibility. Davi’s MAV series of plate roll machines are suitable for rolling plate thicknesses from three to four inches and greater and provide manufacturers the ability to roll tight radii with a focus on maximum precision.

Along with plate and angle rolling machines, attendees will learn how Davi maximizes customers’ return on investment by providing the best machine service and support possible with its Service After Sales based in the United States. proven machine installation, start-up and commissioning; remote machine connection and assistance; operator and onsite maintenance team training; and comprehensive preventive maintenance programs are just some of the ways Davi supports its customers.

M4S TAKE

My take: AI claims need scrutiny. The useful implementations reduce cycle time or defect rates in measurable ways. Vague promises about 'optimization' without specific metrics are usually marketing.
