Why it matters

The Contact Process remains the most widely used production route, with sulfur burning, catalytic oxidation, absorption and dilution. Honeywell Sundyne’s Ansimag pumps are sealless for highly corrosive acid through chemical compatibility, with temperatures up to 121°C (250°F). For higher temperatures, HMD Kontro pumps reach 315°C (600°F). Both use magnetic drive technologies for zero leakage.
