- Full product range: The site manufactures all major frame types and foil systems, including VectorGuard, Apshen quick-mount adapter systems, QTS Wizard, and rework stencils.
- Leadership and legacy: Jeff Poulos, East Coast Regional Manager, heads the facility, building on Microscreen's more than 45 years of screen and stencil manufacturing.
Microscreen, a U.S. manufacturer specializing in high-precision SMT solder stencils and custom tooling solutions, has opened a new facility in Oxford, Connecticut. The site expands the company's manufacturing capacity and delivers faster service to customers throughout the Northeast.
Why Oxford
The location was chosen to close a service gap for Northeast customers. The Oxford facility puts customers from Maine to Philadelphia in range for one day ground shipping — a meaningful logistics advantage for shops that depend on quick stencil replenishment.
"We've been looking at ways to better support our customers in the Northeast, and Oxford made perfect sense for us," said Nik Thomas, Director, Microscreen.
What the Facility Delivers
The 8,000 sq. ft. facility manufactures SMT stencils with a 24-hour turnaround time. The operation is headed up by Jeff Poulos, Microscreen's East Coast Regional Manager.
On the equipment side, the facility is equipped with a Tannlin T11 laser system capable of cutting 10,000 to 15,000 apertures per hour. A Watt Laser SE12 Pro handles stencil inspection, step welding, and aperture measurement.
Microscreen manufactures all major frame types and foil systems at the facility, including VectorGuard, Apshen quick-mount adapter systems, QTS Wizard, and rework stencils. Datum PhD and Datum Fine Grain (FG) stainless steel foils are available, along with green frames for lead-free applications.
Built on Experience
The company has been manufacturing screens and stencils for more than 45 years. Microscreen provides customers with a single source for SMT stencils, nanocoatings, precision screens, and custom tooling — and the Oxford site extends that model into the Northeast with production capacity and shipping speed to match.
