Renishaw will launch the XC100 environmental compensator at IMTS 2026 in Chicago and AMB 2026 in Stuttgart, with demonstrations running 14 to 19 September and 15 to 19 September respectively. Built on the company's XC-80 technology, the unit monitors air temperature, air pressure, relative humidity, and material temperature, and works with the XL-80 laser interferometer, XM-60 and XM-600 multi-axis calibrators, and CARTO software.

Renishaw will debut its XC100 environmental compensator at IMTS 2026 in Chicago and AMB 2026 in Stuttgart.

What the XC100 does

The XC100 compensator builds on Renishaw's XC-80 technology and achieves 0.4 ppm linear laser measurement accuracy. It measures air temperature, air pressure, relative humidity, and material temperature, and supports any combination of air and material sensors. It is compatible with the XL-80 laser interferometer, the XM-60 and XM-600 multi-axis calibrators, and CARTO software. A high-resolution LCD touchscreen display, flexible sensor configuration, and versatile mounting options round out the package.

"The XC100 simplifies the process of precision laser calibration," said Laurence Rosser, Product Manager at Renishaw. "By combining real-time environmental monitoring with seamless CARTO software integration, users can be confident in their measurement results, even in changing conditions."

The XC100 will be demonstrated at IMTS 2026 in Chicago from 14 to 19 September and at AMB 2026 in Stuttgart from 15 to 19 September.
