At Blechexpo 2025, LISSMAC was showing not only grinding machines, but solutions to step up productivity and make manufacturing processes more efficient. However powerful a machine may be, loading, user error and lack of connectivity throughout the machining process can lead to slower parts throughput times. The Digital Assistant on the Shop Floor
It’s Monday morning on the shop floor. The first sheets are lined up, orders are piling high, and every move has to be spot on. Normally, this would mean a lengthy setup routine – adjusting parameters, fine-tuning recipes, running test pieces. But today things are different: LISA takes over.
With the Set-Up Assistant LISA, LISSMAC has developed a control system that redefines the setup process. Instead of countless manual adjustments, operators only provide a few key details: application, sheet thickness, part size, material, and burr level. From there, LISA does the rest. Feed speed, aggregate selection, and adjustment are automatically optimized to achieve the desired results.

LISSMAC has also teamed up with Schmalz to create an automation cell that handles machine loading entirely on its own.
