Worcester Presses has supplied hydraulic presses in the UK for 10 years and has now installed its 50th machine, a Yeh Chiun 300 tonne H-Frame unit at PAB (Coventry), where it produces pressings and metal grills for supercars and Aston Martin models. The product line accounts for 20 per cent of turnover at the Dudley firm, which employs 14 people and will exhibit on stand 60-639 at MACH 2020.

Worcester Presses marks 10 years supplying hydraulic presses in the UK, now 20 per cent of its £2.2 million turnover.

The 50th installation

The 50th machine is a Yeh Chiun 300 tonne H-Frame hydraulic press, recently installed at PAB (Coventry) to produce pressings and metal grills for supercars and Aston Martin models.

"The YCT-300 Worcester hydraulic press is a great addition to our capability and is directly involved in added value work we complete for a number of car manufacturers and some sub-frame components for aerospace," said Mark Brazier, chief executive of PAB (Coventry).

A domestic niche

The firm employs 14 people at its Dudley works and, established in 1949, reports strong demand from the automotive, aerospace, construction and medical sectors.

"There is a distinct lack of domestic specialists in this area of press expertise and we are really benefitting from our decision to invest in our growing range," said Russell Hartill, director of Worcester Presses.

The company supplies mechanical and hydraulic presses from Chin Fong and Yeh Chiun, alongside Tomac coil handling equipment and Lee Yih press transfer lines. It will exhibit on stand 60-639 at MACH 2020.
