Geely Auto Group has launched an AI-based charging system, Geely Smart Charging, built around a 2,250 kW charging station. During testing, it charged the Zeekr 001 and Lynk & Co 10 from 10% to 70% in four minutes 30 seconds.
The core is Xingrui PowerMind, an AI model built with StepFun that coordinates the car, battery, charger, cloud, grid and storage.
Battery longevity remains a persistent worry for buyers considering ultra-fast charging, and Geely is treating it as part of the charging problem.
The launch makes battery condition part of the charging specification rather than a side effect. Xingrui PowerMind forecasts battery temperature up to 30 seconds in advance and adjusts power to hold the average below 55°C and peaks under 65°C. Liquid cooling is applied at five points, from the station’s storage battery to the vehicle pack.
The system applies micro-pulse currents to revive lithium ions during fast charging. Alongside AI management, Geely Auto Group says this extends battery cycle life by 20%. A slower home charging mode is designed to repair wear over time.
The battery hardware is specified for the same target. The Shendun Golden Battery supports a 12C peak rate. For engineers, the notable element is coordination: charger, storage, cooling, vehicle pack and software are presented as one system, with temperature prediction and current shaping used to keep ultra-fast charging within defined thermal and cycle-life limits.
