Major compute upgrade: NVIDIA-powered A2000 compute perceives surroundings 10 to 15 times faster than the previous generation.

Diligent Robotics has started rolling out Moxi 2.0 to health system customers across the U.S., bringing a substantially upgraded Moxi mobile manipulator to hospitals including Endeavor Health Edward Hospital, Providence Saint John’s Health Center, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The Austin, Texas-based company, founded in 2017, first unveiled Moxi 2.0 in October 2025 and has deployed Moxi robots in more than 25 hospitals across the U.S.

Compute built for chaotic hallways

Hospital corridors are unforgiving autonomy environments — moving people, doors, carts, tight clearances. Diligent’s answer is hardware and perception headroom. Moxi 2.0 includes upgraded NVIDIA-powered A2000 compute, perceiving and interpreting its surroundings 10 to 15 times faster than the previous generation.

"Today, we’re deploying our most sophisticated physical AI platform yet," said Andrea Thomaz, founder and CEO of Diligent Robotics.

The platform offers faster, more confident deliveries and longer robot operating hours: up to 18 hours per day, with up to 9 hours at a time and 30% faster charging. Just as important for facilities teams, Moxi 2.0 can be deployed without changes to existing health system infrastructure. All safety and autonomy behaviors run onboard, allowing Moxi to complete tasks without Wi-Fi.

Diligent also designed Moxi 2.0 with modularity in mind, allowing it to transition from the Fetch base to another platform in the future — a pragmatic hedge for any engineering team watching supply chains around robot bases shift.

The learning flywheel

The architectural bet here is the learning flywheel. Moxi 2.0 captures richer signals from hospital environments with upgraded sensors and enhanced edge compute, then feeds real-world deployment data into cloud training infrastructure. T-Mobile for Business has collaborated with Diligent on network access across hospital environments.

"We’ve spent years in the field learning what hospitals actually need. This is just the beginning of what a true learning flywheel makes possible," Thomaz said.

The compounding logic is straightforward: more deployments, better data, stronger models, more capable robots. Moxi has already logged more than 100,000 autonomous elevator rides across U.S. health systems — exactly the kind of edge-case-rich experience the flywheel is designed to absorb.

What deployment looks like at scale

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles offers the clearest operational picture. Moxi 2.0 has completed over 40,000 deliveries there, representing over 16,000 hours of work that staff did not spend transporting supplies and medications. Fleet utilization continues to climb, increasing more than 10% in the second quarter alone.

"Moxi has become an integral team member at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles," said Omkar Kulkarni, Chief Innovation and Transformation Officer at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
"Our nursing leaders and pharmacy team appreciate that we’re investing in technology that allows team members to work at the top of their skill set," Kulkarni added.

The rollout is Diligent’s first major platform move since Serve Robotics acquired the company in 2026 for $29 million. Diligent is actively taking orders from health systems ready to deploy.
