Boston Micro Fabrication (BMF) will debut the microArch S150 3D printer at Formnext in Frankfurt, putting its micro-precision platform in front of European manufacturing and engineering audiences.

Micro-precision, specified

The microArch S150 3D printer features 25µm optical resolution and layer thicknesses from 10–100µm. It is built on BMF’s Projection Micro Stereolithography (PµSL) technology and is designed for applications in microfluidics, fiber optics, biomedical devices, electronics, and advanced materials research.

From RAPID + TCT to Frankfurt

The system made its North American live debut at RAPID + TCT in April.

Ten years in

The launch comes as BMF is celebrating its ten-year anniversary.

“Reaching our tenth anniversary is an important milestone for BMF and gives us an opportunity to reflect on how far micro-precision 3D printing has come, as well as where it can go next. The S150 is a great example of that progress, bringing industrial-grade micro-precision capabilities to a compact, accessible platform.”

— Bryan Ferrand, President of Boston Micro Fabrication

The anniversary also follows leadership changes in July, with John Kawola stepping back from the CEO role and Bryan Ferrand becoming President. BMF has teased a dual-resolution 3D printer for 2026, but the immediate news is simpler: the microArch S150 is the system BMF wants engineers to see at Formnext.
