Aenova Ups Topical Pharma Capacity to 50M Tubes/Year with Automated Line at Feldkirchen

Aenova Group installed a fully automated high-speed tube packaging line at its Feldkirchen, Germany site, raising annual capacity to at least 50 million tubes for creams, gels and ointments. The investment addresses growing demand for topical pharmaceuticals while meeting stricter global track-and-trace requirements.

The Capacity Problem

Pharmaceutical manufacturers producing topical dosage forms face mounting pressure from two directions. Regulatory bodies worldwide now mandate serialization and aggregation down to pallet level, requiring packaging lines with capabilities that many legacy systems cannot deliver. Simultaneously, the dermatological and pain management markets continue expanding, driving need for higher throughput.

Aenova's Feldkirchen facility, already positioned as a center of excellence for topical products, needed to scale capacity while integrating these new compliance requirements. Manual or semi-automated packaging no longer met the economics or regulatory standards demanded by regulated markets.
