Format: A 60-minute session with time for attendee questions; registrants receive the recording.
- Event details: TCT Group's defense AM webinar takes place online on October 28, 2026 at 15:00 BST, sponsored by EOS.
- Expert panel: Speakers include Sascha Hartig (German Navy Support Command), Matthew Parker (Hadrian), and Onno Verberne (Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace), moderated by TCT Group's Sam Davies.
- Core topics: Rapid prototyping, spare parts management, localized production, legacy-platform sustainment, and field repair.
- Industrialization focus: The session covers material selection, qualification, process monitoring, data security, and workflow integration.
Defense organizations weighing additive manufacturing for supply-chain resilience will have a dedicated forum next year. The event is sponsored by EOS, a leading provider of industrial 3D printing solutions with over 35 years of experience in the field.
A panel drawn from active defense programs
The 60-minute session brings together three practitioners working directly in defense applications. Sascha Hartig, Head of Engineering Principles at the German Navy Support Command and a board member of AMDefNet, will represent the naval logistics perspective. Matthew Parker, VP of Additive Manufacturing at Hadrian, joins after earlier building an AS9100-compliant AM Center of Excellence. Onno Verberne, Principal Engineer at Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace, rounds out the panel, bringing a background that includes work at Nammo AS between 1985 and 2023.
Moderating is Sam Davies, Group Content Manager at TCT Group, who has eight years of experience in additive manufacturing.
From use case to repeatable workflow
The agenda goes beyond adoption headlines. Panelists will discuss the current adoption rate of AM in the defense industry, along with applications including rapid prototyping, spare parts management, and localized production. Attendees will also gain insights into how AM supports legacy-platform sustainment and field repair — two areas where long lead times and obsolete components hit readiness hardest.
Critically, the session will address the engineering fundamentals that determine whether a promising AM use case becomes an industrial process: material selection, qualification, process monitoring, data security, and integration into existing production environments. Participants can submit questions to the panel during the webinar.
