NVIDIA is working with Noetra Corp. to launch an NVIDIA Vera Rubin AI factory in Japan. The facility will include 13,750 NVIDIA Vera CPUs and 27,500 NVIDIA Rubin GPUs, making it the world's first national AI infrastructure for physical AI.

Japan's National Physical AI Push

The AI factory will support Japan's FRONTia Project for multimodal foundation models in robotics and physical AI. It will strengthen the country's AI ecosystem across manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and telecommunications.

Hardware Architecture

The facility will use NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 racks and the NVIDIA DSX platform, connected and scaled with NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking. It will also use NVIDIA BlueFieldDPUs and tightly codesigned silicon, systems, and software.

Compute Power and Scale

The AI factory will deliver 140 megawatts of data center capacity. It will provide breakthrough AI performance, lower token costs, and massive scale for frontier AI training.

Open Model Development

The facility will enable the development of open multimodal foundation models that power AI agents, digital twins, robotics, and other physical AI applications. Noetra's multimodal foundation model weights will be available to domestic model developers and enterprises, alongside software such as NVIDIA Nemotron, NVIDIA Cosmos, NVIDIA Isaac GR00T open models, and NVIDIA NeMo libraries.
